I recently heard a beautiful piece on my local classical station that was referred to as John Williams playing Shubert's Sonata Esponia. I was so moved by it that I stopped the car to write down the information. I can't find any reference on the web to it being a Shubert piece or of John Williams recording it. Does anyone know if John Williams recorded that piece? Did Schubert compose it?
Thanks!

My guess is it's Schubert's 'Sonata Arpeggione' which JW played in a guitar and strings arrangement. Blame the radio presenter's diction or the noise of passing traffic!

I think that the only other Schubert JW has recorded is a 'Duo in A' with Julian Bream.
