Just passing through and I happened to see the message title. That is bloody good news for me, as I missed them in Oxford and thought I'd have to go to Glasgow to see them (I saw mention somewhere that they'll be there in November). Appropriate as well, as I attended the Magic Box gig there... Strangely, although I'm on the Symphony Hall mailing list (which means I get sent leaflets as soon as they're printed), I saw no mention in the autumn schedule I got last week. (Goes off to check - oops, that was the CBSO booklet - I didn't want to delete that paragraph, having written it). Anyone else up for an evening of JW&RH? I could put up folk for the night if necessary... |

See you there I hope, Richard. I've already got my ticket. Incidentally it's in the International Concert Season booklet (not the CBSO one) along with all the visiting orchestras. |

Quick in-and-out (no time right now to read any more). I finally got my ticket today (in person, at Symphony Hall). I got my favourite seat, so Tim (and anyone else who might be reading his), please feel free to say hello. It's seat A16 - despite appearances, it's not the front row of the auditorium next to the stage, but the first row of what they call the "Terrace", i.e. the row starting on the walkway between the ground floor doors. I'm in the centre seat. Just look for the big bloke with metal-rimmed specs and hair-loss issues. :-) (Note: I will probbaly make a bee-line for the outside door for a smoke as soon as the interval is called, from past esperience.) |
