As this seems the best site I have found so far, could anyone tell me the cause of death of Agustin Barrios? He was relatively young after all, but none of the biographies I have found so far give any information. Thank you. |

His death certificate says "cardiac insufficency", according to the biography 'Six Silver Moonbeams'. The book is available from Ashley Mark publishers at http://www.fretsonly.com. |

The World Health Organisation give the current life expectancy at birth in Paraguay for a male as 68.4. In the 1950s was 60.6. Circulatory disorders are the major killer (35% of the population). So 59 was not young for his era, the cause of death no unusual. |
