G'day! My mum and dad love Sky. They saw the group live back in the dark ages and I'm wondering is there any recording of a song that used a tuba player and was possibly called 'Whalesong'? Mum really loved it and I'd love to get a copy for her. Cheers! Emlyn |

If I recall correctly the song is called "The whale". Whatever its correct name is, it is on Herbie Flowers LP "Little Potty". I believe he also played the piece in the Westminster Abbey gig with Sky. And I might have heard the theme also somewhere else, somewhere in the track "Animals" on Sky5? Email me if you wish a CDR of this piece (and other pieces). Harald |

If this is the one you mean, it's "The Whale" which they played at Westminster Abbey.

Can't remember that he iluminated his tuba at Westminster Abbey, I though he only did it at the Val Doonican show. Great pic! |

I've seen the illuminated tuba in Glasgow along with the Noddy suit. I think he wore the suit on the George Harrison video for "Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea". |

Just checked Westminster footage. The tuba does indeed have the fairy lights! |
