The reason I first picked up the guitar was on hearing the vast basket of diversity on the first two albums in particular. I then went in the classical direction after hearing the third side of the albums (duets, guitar) and even worked my own arrangement of the gavotte and variation out for guitar by ear. I am now professional. I wish this original group would reform and discard solo or compositional commitments for just a little while. A studio album would be nice. I havre been waiting eagerly for a second generation of this groups formula to arrive in new musicians doing something similar but unfortunately have not heard anything since. This is a great pity, as it acted as a fantastic ambassodor of sound between classical form and structure metting and blending with various levels with rock and jazz.
A solo ablum by Kevin is long overdue particularly as well, I adored Life and other games and never could get hold of Guitar Junction when it was supposed to be released in the UK. Yoo hoo , Kevin if you read these pages, you are very seriously missed, OK???

Have you seen Richard Durrant and Herbie Flowers together live? I suppose this is the nearest thing to a Sky concert these days. Saw them recently in Bridlington and they included westway, danza, theme from z and meheeco. The concert has developed since seeing them last year, with RD now using various guitar effects etc. It is a great evening and even my 9 and 12 year old sons appreciated it. A real shame there weren't more than 100 or so people-deserves far more-though this did add to the intamacy of the concert. They are back 'north' in beverley in Oct.

They were in Beverley last year weren't they? Must have gone down well. Is the Beverley gig on Richards site?
