Using this site does awful things to you. Listening to Stuart Maconie on Radio 2 yesterday afternoon, he has a feature where he plays 6 tracks and you have to work out the connections between them. The first two were 'Grandad' and 'Walk on the Wild Side'. "Herbie Flowers!" I shouted out excitedly, somewhat embarrassed to admit I knew anything about 'Grandad'. Mind you, it's probably kept Herbie in Werther's Originals..... |

Breakout the Werther's origionals for all of us on this site I suspect. I can only speak for myself - but I remember the Sky concerts and the wonderful musicians I met like it was yesturday. I remember Herbie and the twinkle in his eye, I remember the quiet achiever John who any guitarist would die to play like, I remember Kevin from a distance who could handle any type of guitar music with proficiency and a smile, I remember Steve the king of black and white keys sussing out the "followers" but a good bloke withall, and mostly I remember Tris like them all the musicians musician, the most amazing drummmer (no - I am a guitarist) ultimate performer and the one the girls fell for. Tim it's the music that lives on - we are all old or getting there. I suck on my Wether's as I write. Why I'll bet my old friend Bach is sucking on one now! ;) Stay well and just enjoy ! |
