Hai All,

I am a new member here on this board and mainly got here looking for an answer on the above question. But I am also a 'real' fan of the music of Sky and not only theirs, but also from most of the band members.

The simple form of the question would be: could Tristam Fry be the same guy as Tristan Fry? I couldn't find anything about this on the forum, and Tristam is a rarely used name on the internet anyway.

As a fan of Sky's music I am trying to update the information about them on two musical databases:
- http://www.discogs.com/artist/Sky+(4) and
- http://musicbrainz.org/show/artist/?artistid=1225
You can find several bandmembers there too, by using the search tools or the provided links.

The question came first from Francis Monkman's release Energism http://www.discogs.com/release/601902 (not at MusicBrianz yet)
where the percussion is credited to Tristam Fry, instead of the expected Tristan Fry, his fellow member of Sky.

But this is not the only release where this (maybe wrong?) name is used. It appears also on all releases (LP and CD) of Five Leaves Left from Nick Drake, see: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Nick+Drake and http://musicbrainz.org/show/artist/?artistid=2124 If we do a web-search on "Tristan Fry" AND "Nick Drake", we get the idea that this must be the same guy.

Furthermore, the only other release where Tristam Fry is used is on Kevin Ayer's Bananamour release (not in Discogs yet), see http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/5919321/a/Bananamour.htm for the credit and http://musicbrainz.org/release/cdf2537f-08a8-438c-b22d-1119eebe76bc.html for the current data.

Can anyone shine some light on this or tell us something more?
