This is a replacement for the original Sky discussion forum. For the time being, membership isn't required so you don't need to sign up here with a username etc, but this might change. With time (a LOT of time!), I hope to re-create some of the more interesting threads from the old forum here (at least of those I have backed up). Regrettably, this one works very differently so there's no way simply to import the messages. (Message edited by admin on June 05, 2005) |

The problem with spammers we had on the old forum should no longer apply (I hope!). One of the features of this board is a "swear box listR" and the keywords they used (together with their domains) are there. Just to be perverse, no actual swear words are included, so if someone wants to swear at the bastard spammers, we can. :-) |

Nick, Sorry, no tabs, but you can find standard music notation on this page. |

Just registered and wanted to say "Hello". This is a fantastic site and just reading some of the messages has brought back the thrill of seeing them live way back in 1982. Still play the CD's and have just recently bought two DVD's. I've even picked up a guitar for the first time in about 25 years! Still can't really play it but with the sheet music I printed from this site I can just about play Carillon. |

Hi Stu and welcome to the forum. Things seem to have gone a bit quiet lately, but I assume that this may be due in some part to the unwelcome attacks from various spammers. However, these seem to have stopped now. Fingers crossed. On the musical side; I can just about play the opening 9 notes of Toccata and a very simplified version of the melody. Oh and I can also just about manage the tom-tom fills from Sahara. Believe me, Francis and Tris have got nothing to worry about!!!! (So if anyone wants to form a sky tribute band, who's reportoire extends to just those two little bits, please let me know...) |

The first thing I ever picked out on a guitar from sheet music (painfully slowly because I can't read music) was the first few bars of 'Classical Gas'. |

Just joined up to the site. This brings back many happy memories for me listening to their music when I was at baording school. this was back in ohhhh 1980/81. My uncle had taped me the first 2 albums and listened to them time after time, and of course, sad to sya pretened I was playing the instruments. I've just got myself Sky Squared (luckily found a copy on amazon) and now want antholgy so I can sort of piece together Cadmium the rare jewel of Sky albums. Hope to have many hours here. |
