I'm looking to get hold of a pretty convincing Toccata backing track minus lead guitar (on CD)so i can learn, to impress the shit out of my friends. Any ideas where i can get hold of one. Does any guitarist out there like to pass a copy my way?

I imagine that would be hard to find but a lot of mastering tools (like Nero) allow you fade down anything that is centrally positioned in the mix.
They pick out any signal that is common to left and right. It's designed to produce fake karaoke tracks because the lead vocal is uusally central.
If the 'Toccata' lead guitar is centred, it might work. |
