Although not directly related to sky, the official Curved Air website announces that the band are to reform for some dates this coming summer and autumn. Francis Monkman also mentioned this to me in a recent email, so I am assuming that this means that he will be part of the line-up.

I will be interested to see them, if I can, as it would be great to see Francis playing live. And, of course, let us not forget about a certain little tune, which hopefully will be in their set-list, called Vivaldi...

Heard that too from Francis, and yes Francis will be part of the line-up. They will play a couple of festivals, starting mid June.

So, see you all in England this summer!

Harald

Snap same information from Francis so there is hope for Sky yet.

See you at the festivals. My 22yr old son wants me to go to Newbury races in June to see Bryan Adams perform. Saw him twice in 2006 Keith Scott his guitarist is ace - one of the best.

Regarding my previous post, Francis playing in the line-up is not that clear at the moment. We will have to wait another few weeks before there is a final decision.

Why not come over

Saturday 23rd August 2008 8.00pm
Rock and Roots Festival, Ross-on-Wye may have more than one old band as I recall Stackridge are playing there too. (SORRY for those who do not know who they are / they were an old West of England band big down south).

If Harald did then perhaps all contributors over the last few years and our Webmaster can can all meet up for a _ _ _ _ UP.

Why not

Sadly, it seems that Francis has dropped out of the Curved Air reunion gigs. No reason has been given, but another guitarist is now mentioned in all online information that I can find. A shame. Oh well, roll on next year's 30th anniversary sky reunion tour...

(I wish!!!!)

Extract from Wikopedia today

In early 2008 the band regrouped. On 4th May 2008, in a message to the Curved Air Yahoo Group, Sonja Kristina advised that the new line-up would be :-

Sonja Kristina - vocals
Darryl Way - violin
Florian Pilkington-Miksa - drums
Andy Christie - guitar
Chris Harris - bass

Francis Monkman, who was originally pictured with Sonja, Darryl and Florian for the re-union, seems to have left the project.
