I plan to bid for a copy of JW's "Bridges", currently on e-Bay, so that I can get "The Swagman", the one remaining track from "Travelling" that I don't have on CD (apart from a copy dubbed from LP).

I got the "Bridges" CD and can now recreate "Travelling" ("Sky -1" or "Sky 0"?) completely from CD.

The only other bidder appeared to be a dealer. Given that other copies on the Web are going for much higher prices, they have cottoned on the fact that this CD is now rare.

I have many rare CDs but I only want them for the music, not for their "collectible" value.

I see you must've got around to reading what I wrote about creating CDS of the original albums, Bill. :-)

(I had meant to email you about that, but was busy with bits and pieces before my departure and disn;t get around to it.)

I read but I had already thought about it and done it.

In the bad old days, I made cassette versions of Changes, The Height Below and Travelling from tracks on the various JW compilation CDs that I had. Then I made CD-Rs from the same sources.

I was able to make my latest versions almost completely from the new "Essential Collection" 2CD, to ensure consistent sound. "Sheep May Safely Graze" was from "The Best Of" CD and "The Swagman" was dubbed from LP by a kindly soul.

Now I have a CD source for "Swagman" although I will need to tweak it. The CD is very old (19 years!) and that track appear to have a different level from the others on my "Travelling".
